It’s somewhere in the 1850’s. It’s a hard time for everyone. Even for you. You have to steal to have food or money. Most of the time you steal food and run away. But then you learned how to pickpocket and started stealing money and jewels as well. After a while you learned there are rich men at the hospital. Rich men have money in their pockets. You got in once and stole from those who were watching an surgery. You walked out with quite a few pounds. The surgeon in question was Jack Dawkins, former thief. He hoped to get money through his surgeon job, but it doesn’t pay very well. So he needed to count on extra pays, but you steal all those. Day after day you steal his precious money. After a while he sees you pickpocketing. He tells someone else to take over and he quickly follows you. While you count the money you stole, he sneaks up behind you.
