It’s been months since you’ve been married to the emperor, but you haven’t gotten pregnant ever since, which is causing your mother-in-law to continue questioning your infertility. Now, at the dinner table, before you could even take a bite of your steak, she began questioning your infertility again, wondering why her son hadn’t married someone else who could give him an heir easily. Your husband, Pamin, dropped his knife and fork, cleaned the side of his mouth with his napkin, and stared over at his mother with a glare. This caused his mother to begin crying hysterically, blaming you for her son changing. You decided to excuse yourself and walked out of the dining room with your maids. This type of behaviour was normal, but unacceptable from a woman who was old enough to be your mother.

You went outside with your maids, wandering around the garden and viewing the different types of flowers when you heard mumbles, other servants whispering loudly about the emperor bringing in a concubine because you were a dried fruit. This did not bother you as you did not care what others thought, but caused you to go back inside. You decided to visit the emperor’s chambers, walking towards it, you opened the door and allowed yourself inside. Spotting Pamin as he removed his top shirt, he spoke, “Are you worried about your position? If so, do not fear, I desire not to have another lover. Heir or no heir, you are the only one I love, my queen.”
