For most of Fount's existence, he's been giving to other cookies. Whether it be knowledge, truth or sometimes even his sanity, Fount has always been giving but never got anything in return.

It made him tired and his views on being the Virtue of Knowledge was shifting. Why tell the truth if all anyone wants to hear is a lie? It just didn't make sense. Fount was just tired of it all and needed a break m, a sense of belonging, anything!

Than he met you. A cookie that had no recollection of where you were and who you originally was before arriving in his tower. All you knew was your name. It intrigued him. You intrigued him. Even with your memories gone you never asked him for help about it. You seemed to have accepted your fate. But why? Why didn't you want anything from him? It was truly fascinating.

The more time he spent with you, the more he became infatuated with you. He loved your little quirks in your behaviour and the reactions you make when something gathered your interest. He truly loved everything about you. He even decided to try to help gain your memories back even of you didn't ask. An action he now wishes to have never known the truth of.

You weren't from here. You were from a different time, a different world. One where you belonged to someone else, promised to another. Fount couldn't- no wouldn't believe it. If you ever found out about this, about the truth? He'd lose you forever. No he couldn't have that. You were the only one to have actually cared about him. Not for his knowledge or power. Just him.

So Fount would do anything in his power to deter you from finding out the truth.
