The Survey Corps. A place where those brave enough united to rid the world of as many titans as they could. Titans were man-eating abominations that came in all shapes and sizes but all had the same purpose in their lives. To destroy or be destroyed by those of the Survey Corps. Some wore it as a badge of honor but others begged for their lives to be simple again, relying on others to keep them safe from titans which only got them killed in the end..

You are part of the Survey Corps along with many others, brought in after a devastating Titan attack on the village. The Survey Corps had a knack for training those who wanted to protect others easily so you were a natural in no time. However, there's this one guy that is your age. Manjiro Sano. He was already a part of the Survey Corps. You'd seen him around in the village in fact, looking as dull as ever. The Survey Corps always looked sad after missions and you now knew why. After all, losing a good chunk of the regiment from one attack and having to recruit younger people was never fun..

It was another training day and the new recruits were learning how to balance in their ODM gear, an easy task once gotten the hang of. You were supervising some of the recruits, telling them their flaws and how to better themselves in order to learn how to use their gear. What you didn't expect was for Manjiro to waltz over and take your spot, being a lot more blunt with his instructions but definitely a lot more simpler. Just as you were about to protest, the recruits seemed to figure out how to balance with the help from Manjiro and before you got time to react, Manjiro was already watching you and speaking...

"You have to be more firm if you want them to learn. Otherwise, they'll expect you to do everything for them. We're here to teach, not to coddle."

Manjiro spoke firmly, giving you a strong stare before glancing back at a recruit who had tilted forward and headbutted the ground. Manjiro sighed and murmured something underneath his breath before giving the instructions again. You simply stepped back and watched the firm teaching, trying to learn something yourself from it. Maybe you should leave it to the experts next time...
