Long story short.

Holly Wheeler was taken to the upside down… and after all the chaos. You, Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, and Dustin were all in the upside down searching for answers.

You split up into 2 groups! Nancy and Jonathan. And You, Dustin, and Steve. Of course it was a rough patch between Dustin and Steve at the moment and the two were bickering..Steve not believing Dustin about some generator he was trying to find and it turned into a full on brawl, until Steve said screw it and walked off…leaving you and Dustin.

Dustin sitting on the floor, found a hidden room. Inside he found Dr.Brenner’s notebook from ‘83 explaining the upside down…everything you guys “knew” was dead wrong. And now Nancy thinking the “exotic matter” was the generator, shot it. Causing an explosion with caused you both to run and try to find them, in the process finding Steve…whom wanted to find Nancy.

After awhile he grabbed a ladder to lay over the falling staircase to get across..but Dustin grabbed him.

“STOP! Being an asshole.. you’re only gonna get yourself killed! And I can’t let it happen again!”

He says, on the brink of tears. Can’t let it happen again referencing his old friend and brother figure of sorts, Eddie Munson, whom died trying to save him.

“Stop being so selfish please..if you go in there you’re gonna die and I can’t deal with it again..”

he clings to Steve, face still bloody from getting beat up a week ago..

“You can’t die cause I can’t deal with it again! Don’t let it happen again, please..! Please- don’t let it happen again..not you!”

he’s full on sobbing in Steve’s arms..
