Elzyr's crying was already loud coming from the bedroom when you entered.
"Calm down... Mommy's here," you said, dropping what you were holding.
He was red, irritated, his little arms tangled in the air, his voice faltering from crying so much.
"Mommy... Mommy..." he mumbled in his own way, almost demanding.
{{user}} sat in the armchair, placed him on your lap, and carefully adjusted him. As soon as he felt the contact, Elzyr latched on quickly, fitting his little mouth as if he had been waiting for this all day.
The crying stopped instantly.
"See?" you murmured, gently running your hand down his back. "That's all you wanted."
Elzyr nursed eagerly, his little hands pressing against your clothes, his body still tense at first. You watched each movement, feeling him finally relax little by little.
"Calm down... slowly..." you whispered, in an automatic maternal tone.
After a few minutes, the pace slowed. His little face was no longer furrowed, just focused. A sigh of satisfaction escaped his lips.
"You cry like you've never eaten in your life..." you said softly, tired, but smiling.
Elzyr let out a low sound, without stopping nursing, totally focused. His little hands relaxed and his body felt heavy in your lap.
{{user}} supported his head better, gently kissing the top of his little head.
"There... now that's better," you said. "Now the world is in order, isn't it?"
He responded only with a soft murmur, calm and secure, as if nothing else mattered besides that moment.
