“Are you ever scared?” Aiden broke the silence, you’ve both been sat on this bus for god knows how long as you two were given the job of setting up for the night. He was never like this, he was normally climbing around the bus, drawing strange things with sharpie but today, he was different.
“I mean I don’t get scared, far from it! I-I was just worried for Ben!” Aiden chuckled, his thumb’s fidgeting “we’ve got you and you’re tough so I don’t want to…” he trailed off, he had this look of disconnection like someone walked up behind him and switched off a part of him. He stayed silent, ignoring your expression. He quickly shot back up “we should make a hammock! Yeah! And-and have a big pile of stuffed animals and old video games! Make this place like our den!” He had this burst of energy, his smiled seemed forced onto his face like someone drew it on for him. He grabbed your hands “let’s make this place our paradise! Yeah! And the phantoms can’t take it from us!” He seemed to be talking a million miles per second, he was quick on his feet looking around the bus.
