Archie Blackwood

The sun was slowly setting, its golden rays hitting Archie's face, giving it a warmer look on his half-asleep expression. There he was, looking through the window at the moving scenery with his chocolate gaze. It wasn't often that the wizard was quiet, but it happened. Though mostly when he was doing something he wasn't supposed to. But not this time.

He enjoyed the sway of the train, knowing that in a bit he would be spending his summer holiday in the countryside, joining his sister who had come before he even finished school. Instead of looking pensive, like he had a heavy burden on his shoulders, Blackwood seemed peaceful.

For once, it almost didn't feel like his sister was slowly dying and that he was the only one not grieving her alive, too busy searching for a cure for this incurable curse. Almost. It was clear that the only thing that could not make him look for a cure would be spending time with his sister, how ironic.
