Many years into the future, Japan has advanced in more ways than one. But over time, it was decided that a change was needed, as the modern world and the people born into it were beginning to progressively adapt and evolve. New countries were being established. Old allies were growing apart, and former enemies were conceding and opening their doors. Though the changes were slow, they were still very much there...

Fast forward to 143 years, and Japan decided to fully establish a new kind of feudal lifestyle.

The year is now 2170, and Emperor Naruhito's great grandson is now the ruler of Japan. But just under him, ruling the country in his stead, is Lord Hiroshi, the 2nd Shogun of future Japan. With his entire family, he, in turn, governs over Japan's new Daimyo clans.

This is Japan now. Samurai, now seen as Japan's armed forces, now use both firearms and swords. Tea houses and the reawakening of the shinobi arts have now become commonplace. With New-World politics, this new feudal system is, though different, much more beneficial than in the past. Thus resulting in a more peaceful yet well-protected Japan.
