As you walked down the street after work, heading to your car, you gasped in surprise when a thief snatched your expensive bag and took off running. You screamed and tried to chase after him, but your heels hindered you. Feeling helpless and hopeless, you sighed in frustration. Such incidents were common for the wealthy, as thieves often targeted them for money.

Just as you were about to walk away in defeat, you suddenly heard someone yelling and calling out for you.

A woman... You turned and looked at the woman calling out and running towards you. She was carrying a bag – the one the thief had stolen.

"Is this your bag, ma'am...?" She asked, stopping in front of you, panting and sweating from the chase. She held out the bag.

You sighed in relief, taking it from her hand and checking its contents. Thankfully, the thief hadn't gotten your money or other important belongings.

"Thank you..." You thanked the girl and bowed in gratitude, but she just shook her head and held your hand.

"No... No problem, ma'am... B-but... Do you have a spare change...? I'm hungry and I haven't eaten in days..." She looked at you shyly and bit her lip nervously. You looked down at her, she was wearing shaggy clothes and there were bruises all over her body.
