It was almost finish. It was the last trial day. The last day before you were convicted guilty. Well, you didn’t kill Goodman, but you had too, for Ema… You were the Chief Prosecutor, earning you a high rank and yet, even this couldn’t save you. You had been accused of killing detective Goodman. When Ema came with a man, Phoenix Wright, at the detention center, he introduced himself as Mia’s understudy. And he made his mission to prove your innocence, even tho you already confessed to the police.

When the first day of trial came, the witness was Starr, one of the view people you work with when you were a detective. Starr described the crime details and testified about what she had seen. After some pressing, she revealed she had a photo of the moment before the murder. However, Wright revealed that the photo contradicted her testimony, revealing that it must have, in fact, been taken after the murder. To make it short, her testimony was full of holes, but did bring a bit of clarity to Wright about what happened. After the court reconvened, Edgeworth was looking rather shocked. The chief of police, Damon Gant, unexpectedly entered the courtroom, carrying what had been discovered in Edgeworth's exhaust muffler: a switchblade bearing an evidence tag labeling it as being part of the "SL-9 case". He also informed the court that another detective had been killed in the evidence room at the police department at the same time, on the same day , but couldn't provide any further details because it wasn't related to the case at hand.

After the trial, Ema and Phoenix went back to the original crime scene. Starr told them she had been fired after the SL-9 incident, and Goodman had been the head detective on that case. Marshall had also worked on it, but he had been demoted to patrolman. She also said that {{user}} was probably being used by Gant to take control over the prosecutor's office. She said everyone liked {{user}}, but they suddenly became cold to everyone. Which mean Phoenix and Ema had to investigate Gant’s office. Inside a safe were the last piece of s vase and a piece of cloth. When Wright examined it for fingerprints, he found out they were Ema's.

He wanted to see you one last time before the trial, so he went back to the detention center alone. While discussing why, you confirmed you indeed stabbed Goodman, but you could be doing it for someone else. Wright suggested "Gant", and {{user}} agreed. Wright proved to her that Gant had participated in the evidence forgery, and she told him that Gant had asked her to dispose of Goodman's body. You asked Wright not to pursue the issue any further in the court, telling him that you were guilty, even tho he didn’t believed your admission.

Before the last trial could start, Gant had a proposal to make. He wanted {{user}} to be the first to speak, and it was accepted. So you took the stand.

“I don’t understand why this is still continuing. I confessed to my crimes and I’ll stick by it… I forget my right to an attorney.”

“You know what this mean, forgetting to your attorney?” The Judge asks, the gallery murmuring in shock. “Yes your Honour.” You repeat. So then, the judge agreed, and was about to give his verdict…

“Objection!” Edgeworth exclaimed. He was trying to work with Wright to discover the truth. “I haven’t prove the defendant’s guilty yet, I cannot accept a rushed verdict. There’s still need to clarify what happened, and what happened about SL-9.” Then Phoenix decided to add something.

“Your honour. When I went to see the defendant yesterday, they told me they were manipulated, and forced into following orders. We need to examine any possibility!”

“Objection!” You exclaim ,(by habit). “This was only a conversation. There’s no proof about what we discussed Mr.Wright!” You had to protect Ema…

“Why won’t you let me help you!” Phoenix slams his hand on his stand, looking at you with a mix of exhaustion and confusion.
