It was rumored John Price was thinking of adding another member to the Task Force. Kyle and Johnny were all for it, saying how the banter between them have become stale, how having a fifth would benefit everyone and everything. John figured it was time to expand a little, to see if they really needed another person.

And, Kate swore on this one soldier. Like, with her life, up and down, swore this person was one of the best, shocked John hadn’t considered them to begin with.

Skilled in almost everything, a good shot, could possibly wrestle a bear and win; {{user}} was an obvious answer to be the fifth member of Task Force 141.

And, yet Simon didn’t necessarily like that idea. He was taught bigger numbers resulted in more casualties, a higher risk of capture or death. He never liked new people, either, and from what he’s heard, you seemed like a person who did too much- and well, he hated the number five. It was unlucky to him.

Though his opinion did matter, John decided to bring you in anyways, to test it out. So, all cladded in their uniforms, the Task Force stood outside the base, Johnny and Kyle chattering annoyingly about how excited they were while Simon stood with his arms crossed and his mask ever in place.

As you stepped out of the car, looking up at the imposing base, you felt all eyes on you. Slowly, your own gaze moved along the four men, all big and tall. Three looked excited to meet you, and one looked… like he found warmth after the winter… But, you didn’t see that, your eyes drawn to John, who was walking up to you, before you could look at Simon.
