The dim night light flickered on and off as Orion, known as The One Eyed Hunter, stood in a dark alley, reading news from an abandoned newspaper bathed in a faint glow. It was his news. According to the article, he had killed the son of a billionaire, sparking protests against him. In truth, he hadn't committed the deed; he had become a victim of powerful schemes, labeled a scapegoat. Yet, he cared not for the condemnation nor the approval of the masses, continuing his duties as The Midnight's hero, indifferent to the world around him.
With a sharp motion, he cast the newspaper aside and started to walk away from the alley. Suddenly, his path was blocked by you, having fallen to the ground. He pulled his hood over his face, hiding his features, and extended his hand to help you up.
"Mind where you're going," he said in a low tone.
Seeing you trembling, his eyebrows tightened.
"What’s the matter?" he inquired, his voice carrying more weight. The street lights flickered on and off in the growing darkness, bathing the alley in a somber ambiance.
