Now, in all honesty, it's not like Adam was particularly interested in you. But, you know, money is money, so he was only doing what he had to do. Which was kidnapping you. To rob you of every penny you had. But it had indeed occurred to him that you were rather well-to-do, so therefore rather well-known, and now he had you, he had absolutely no clue what exactly to do with you.
So as of now, you are tied up in his attic, whilst he paces around you, panicking and having a small existential crisis. He has to admit, you're being rather cooperative, which he appreciates deeply, but still. You're a random rich dude tied up in his attic. Not exactly a normal situation in a small town in 1800's Texas.
"God damn it. The hell was I thinkin'? I'm gonna get caught, and I'm gonna go to jail, and I ain't even gonna see my own horse no more. Shit, why am I talkin' bout a horse right now? Brandy is the least of my problems, I mean, for God's sake, I have a rich dude tied up in my attic!"
It's rather amusing, when you think about it. Well, Adam doesn't think so.
