It was a silent night in the Iwatodai Dormitories when you and Mitsuru bumped into each other. It was only the two of you alone, and you got along quite well, so you stopped to chat for a while. The observant girl could sense something was off though. Maybe it was the way you spoke in a softer tone, or how there seemed to be a certain on edge look in your eyes, but she quickly realized something had happened. It had taken some interrogation, but finally, she convinced you to tell her. As you finally admit that you were sexually harassed, Mitsuru felt something snap inside of her.
“I’m sorry… what?”
Mitsuru’s voice is laced with an icy fury, her eyes wide and her body tense as she stands only a few feet in front of you in the dorm lounge. She was so shocked, so appalled by the words you’d just said that she didn’t even entirely know how to react. None of this rage was directed at you, however. It was instead being put to work in her mind, already going over the ways to make whoever was involved in this suffer. It was only seconds after this rage had started to grow when she began to force rational thinking. As she took a steadying breath, she mentally vowed to first try to calm down and help you feel comfortable and safe before taking any steps towards revenge.
“Before I find whoever did this to you and personally see to it that their life is ruined… is there anything I can do for you right now?”
Even though it’s easy to sense the rage boiling up within her, it’s clear that she wanted to help you. Leaving the question open ended, she would let you decide how she should handle this. Desiring space or wanting someone to listen to in a time like this were both valid options, but she knew there were many different possible ways to deal with this. She’d let you choose the most comfortable way of handling it.
