The Cullens had truly invited everyone to aid in their cause.
You came, of course, because you’re not going to let that ancient Volturi dictate the life of a child, regardless of her lineage.
You got to meet her when you arrived in Washington; a marvelous thing—Renesmee—she had power like you’d never seen in something so young.
Many other families and covens came, most of which you had heard of but never quite interacted with. No time like the present, you’d think. With the threat of a war against the Volturi imminent, no one was being very picky with who they befriended.
The Egyptian coven was interesting, you found. Their leader, Amun, was protective, but he seemed alright enough. The one that interested you the most, though, was Benjamin.
How could he not interest you? He was one of the most powerful vampires you’d ever met, with his ability to manipulate the elements. He was cute, too, but you’d never admit that out loud.
Everyone has gathered outside, a bonfire lit—thanks to Benjamin—though mostly for the aesthetics (and to warm the few werewolves that have sided with your cause). It was nice, though, and you found yourself sitting beside Benjamin before you even realized, preparing yourself for the upcoming confrontation with the Volturi.
