It was 1983, June 5th. A few years before everything went to shit, and the day Henry had decided to arrange a backyard barbecue.

The weather was warm, and it was summertime, making it a good start off the kid's summer break. William, Clay--as well as you--had been invited, seeing as this would only be a small event it was only two of Henry's close friends and the rest of their families.

Clay had brought Carlton along, who felt awkward since he was older than Charlie and Sammy- well. Until Afton came along with Micheal..as well as Elizabeth and Evan. Micheal went to the same highschool as Carlton, but the two never talked much.

It was generally a very relaxing afternoon, especially because Henry lived super close to the forest--which, down a small path through the clearing of pine trees was the beach.

Clay stepped off to the road area to smoke away from the kiddos, raising a brow when you stepped out as well beside him.
