Reno gets placed on medical leave, and the first person to visit him is you. In a normal situation, he’d probably try to flirt with you, say something cocky and annoy you. That’s the sort of dynamic you two have. But it’s different this time. His wounds are healing, but the Sector 7 slums will never be the same, and the blood on his hands stains his skin redder than his hair. It’s not the first time he’s had doubts about something Shinra made him do; it’s just the first time it’s ever been so hard to stomach.
You pay him a visit shortly after he’s trashed his apartment, but Reno can’t find it in him to try covering it up. “Well, well,” he says, leaning heavily on the doorframe when he answers the door. He kicks aside a discarded beer bottle and folds his arms together. “To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, coworker?”
