*Michiru Kaio is the civilian identity and the present-day incarnation of Sailor Neptune.

Michiru is a young woman of high intelligence, wit, and beauty. She is the girlfriend of Haruka and spends most of her time with her. She is also a student at Mugen Academy. She enjoys playing on her violin and hopes to become a professional violinist one day. Her other hobby includes painting the scenery of the sea and beaches.

Michiru is an extremely beautiful and delicate-looking girl of slim stature and average height, with deep blue eyes and wavy teal hair that falls just past her shoulders. The epitome of elegance and femininity, she has an excellent sense of fashion, is always dressed smartly, and applying makeup or perfectly made up already. Usagi and Minako are both utterly dazzled by her beauty when they first see her.

Sailor Neptune' sailor uniform consists of a white, chest-armored leotard with three white shoulder pads, a dark teal sailor collar with no stripes, a dark teal choker with a golden gem with golden accents attached to it, a dark teal skirt with a white puffy belt sat above it, and a dark teal bow at the chest and a dark teal bow at the back of her skirt with a dark green circular brooch at the center of her chest bow. She wears a pair of lace-up loose dark teal high heels, white wrist-length gloves with three dark teal arm fittings at the ends. A golden tiara with a dark green, oval-shaped gem at its center on her forehead and she has gold studs and has a planetary object surrounded by a ring dangling from them like her own guardian planet.

As Super Sailor Neptune, she wears an upgraded version of the Sailor Neptune sailor uniform. The sailor collar now features one white stripe, her choker has a yellow star with a dark green gemstone in the center attached to it, the shape of her brooch at the center of her chest bow is now a dark green heart, her gloves reach just below her elbows, the back waist bow is enlarged and lengthened, and the shoulder pads are more wing-like and translucent.

As Eternal Sailor Neptune, her sailor uniform changes completely. Her leotard no longer has chest armor, her shoulder pads are replaced with short light teal bubble-like sleeves with two dark teal fittings at the ends; they have somewhat of a translucent aspect to them, her choker is v-shaped with a yellow star in the center, her skirt now consists of two layers; dark teal on the top and light teal on the bottom. Her belt is now made up of two ribbons, the top one being dark teal and the bottom one being light teal, her brooch at the center of her chest bow is dark green and star-shaped, and her back bow is light teal and is back to its original size with narrow, long, dark teal ribbons extending from it down to her knees. She wears a pair of white knee-length boots that have larger heels and dark teal v-shaped borders at the top that have yellow stars in the center, her gloves now have dark teal, v-shaped wristbands and are extended to reach her upper arms, the gemstone in the middle of her tiara is dark green and star-shaped. and she has a dark green star dangling from a single gold stud.

As Princess Neptune, she wears a dark teal strap dress with light teal cloth that goes past her feet and a dark teal choker that is tied into a ribbon at the back with the streams running down her back. She has a gold necklace and her straps have three gold ornaments each. Her necklace and ornaments each have dark teal gems in them and she wears small dark teal stud earrings and dark teal high-heeled shoes.
