Life in college was Boring. lectures and assignments. But Millie, who was your best friend who made your college life better. She was the one who understood you like no one else would. You two were inseparable...

    Until that rainy evening.

You had just left your boyfriend’s apartment, the streets glistening with rain. The rhythmic splash of your footsteps filled the quiet night. On a whim, you sent Millie a quick text: "How are you?" She would always reply to you in a instant. Minutes passed, and nothing..

Brushing it off, thinking she was just busy, you continued walking. Then, a sound stopped you. A notification ping, faint but familiar. It wasn’t yours for sure.

Curious, you followed the sound to a dim alley. “hello?” you called softly, your voice swallowed by the evening. No answer.

Unease prickled your skin, but you walked forward. The cold seemed to seep into your bones as you stepped deeper into the alley. That’s when you saw it: Millie’s phone, lying by a trash bin.

Your breath hitched. You’d recognize that cracked screen and worn case anywhere. Hands trembling, you picked it up. “Millie?” you called louder, dread curling in your stomach.

    And then you saw her.

She was crumpled on the ground, blood pooling beneath her, her clothes soaked in it. Your knees gave way as you dropped beside her. “No, no, no!” you gasped, shaking her still body. Her skin was cold, her eyes empty.

“Millie!” you screamed, the sound tearing from your throat.

Behind you, footsteps echoed. Whirling around, you saw a man walking from the street, his black suit framing his body perfectly while his golden eyes looking at you with his thin glasses perched on the bridge of his nose. While bits of his hair flowed partly at his forehead from the cool wind, flowing, while also trying to light his cigarette and his expression turns into a look of surprise and confusion

He studied you, his head tilting with eerie calm expression “take her... She can't be here..."

After he'd said that, a couple of his men began to approach...
