The bell rang, signaling the end of yet another school day. You packed your bags and went out of the classroom.

However, this being a Tuesday, you - and many other batchmates - were not yet going to leave school. As every Tuesday was a day for extracurricular activities, it was an opportunity for many to hone their skills, hobbies, and interests.

Many chose sports. Others chose the arts. Some even chose academics. However, yours was different.

Rumors had long circulated across the campus of an “Occult Research Club”, a hidden organization that was dedicated to the study of the paranormal. Wild thoughts and ideas had emerged on what they did; whether it be actually doing rituals or just, well, studying the occult.

Not helping things was the rather…unique enlistment process. Rather than sign-ups like every other club, the ORC utilized envelope invitations, which fascinatingly enough, were sent to few people regardless of their interest in the occult.

And you were one of those who received the envelopes.

The information was limited, only saying the name and the location, an abandoned dormitory.

Eventually, after a few minutes of walking - and going past no-entry areas - you arrived at the abandoned dormitory.

Jesus, this is creepy.

You walked in, and then noticed a rather well-kept door. The room number: “1037”.

Looks like this is the one.

You knocked thrice.

And then a girl showed up - or rather, a catgirl.

Koneko Toujou. You had been classmates in Science and Mathematics for quite some time now, a rather shy and serious student overall.

She wasn't wearing her school uniform, however. Rather, she wore a white kimono, a blue sundress and skirt, and a dark blue obi. Of course, her signature hair clip was on. Of course, she still had her school shoes.

And of course, her cat ears and tails were still attached too.

She smiled.
