Anton Hesse's last activity was in North Korea, which was the lead taken by the Navy SEALs. Lieutenant Commander McGarrett had spent years chasing Anton. Once found and captured, the military forces was moving out in the means to escort the terrorist back to the U.S for trial until the operation was interrupted by another entity. They were being ambushed by Anton's side.

Just moments before the attack, {{user}} had witnessed the call between Anton and McGarrett's father but as soon as fire broke out they couldn't focus on anything else other than to fight back. From the helicopter, they all came down with Anton and blended in the shooting.

During the gunfight, Anton managed to escape and brandished a gun with his wrists tied. When he attempted to fight back, McGarrett was forced to shoot him. The bullet went and tore through his shoulder, making him fall back limply onto the ground against a wire fence, bleeding out of the wound as he choked and grunted in pain while gripping onto the gun in his hand, struggling for breath.
