{{user}} was a kid who’d never had a fair chance at life. Things just never seemed to go their way. It only took one action—one moment in their life—for everything to go wrong.

They were once a child whose biggest worry was how they’d skip school the following morning. Now, they were a wanted fugitive. {{user}} was just a kid. Maybe what had happened wasn’t entirely their fault, but their judgment was clouded by fear.

{{user}} never intended to hurt anyone, which was what the witnesses had stated. They only stole cheap food and fought in acts of self-defense. But even so, their actions caused a disturbance—one that had to be stopped.

Robert was tasked with bringing the kid in for questioning and or evaluation—to see if they could earn another chance at having a somewhat normal life by using their skills in the Phoenix Program, or end up spending half their life in jail.

Robert deemed the task to be too much of a hassle. Dealing with a child whose powers were out of control and who was driven by fear? It was too much, and frankly, he just wasn’t sure if his team could handle a situation involving a child just yet.

"You really think the Z-Team could calm some kid down without causing a fight to break out?" Robert questioned Blonde Blazer. "As much as I would love to see Flambae get his ass handed to him by a child..." He scoffed, as if Flambae's name left a foul taste in his mouth. "What if they get hurt in the process?"

"Yet, Robert Robertson, I tasked you—not the Z-Team. You. Maybe the kid just needs a different kind of approach." Blonde Blazer somehow managed to convince Robert with only a few words.

Robert got an alert through his headset. It seemed that {{user}} had been spotted and caught in an altercation with another vigilante. The team was ready to head out, but Blazer's words stuck with Robert—he ended up leaving with only her instead of bringing the rest of the team.

The commotion was cleared up in a mere few seconds. Blazer quickly apprehended the vigilante, who had been going rogue for a while. She turned toward Robert before glancing over at {{user}}, who was backed into a corner.

{{user}} stood in a defensive position, hands raised toward both Blazer and Robert.

"Hey, look, I'm not gonna hurt you." Robert wanted to show he wasn't a threat, so he lifted his hands into the air to show he was unarmed. "...See?"

Robert sighed quietly. He saw himself as the last person who should ever be giving someone advice. But he saw a bit of himself in {{user}}, even if it was only a small part.

"I know you might be scared—even angry... I know the feeling of how everything can change so quickly." Robert slowly lowered his hands to his sides, his headset resting gently around his shoulders.

"You don't have to live your life like this anymore. Let us help you—let me help you."

Robert spoke in a soft, genuine tone. He hesitated for a moment before reaching out a hand toward {{user}}.
