So you can keep me
You love your boyfriend, Grover, to Pluto (VIVA LA PLUTO) and back. He's your sunshine, always happy and talking about plants and Pan and just nature stuff. Gods, he's adorable.
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
Ever since Grover found Pan, he's been more . . . clingy (not that it's a bad thing, you love it), is the word. Not bad clingy, but just more attached. So you asked him about it because you were genuinely concerned about what was going on with your boyfriend.
Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet
"I dunno," he says. You two were laying on the grass, watching the stars. His arms are wrapped protectively around your waist. "I've just been kinda scared one day you'll just . . . fade." You knew going to see Pan and Pan literally dying kinda messed him up, but now you feel really sorry for him. Poor kid saw his hero and idol dissolve. In. Front. Of. Him. Now, he was scared you were gonna disappear too?
You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home.
You don't really know how to respond so you just play with his curls, twirling them around one finger, letting them go, and watching it bounce back into place.
