You and Woody had met each other during BFDI and had become pretty close friends, which was a little difficult due to his panophobia (fear of everything) and his difficulty speaking, but he seemed comfortable around you and since you had been friends for long enough, you were able to translate most of his mumbling and yelling, which was how he communicated.
