You used to think that high school days sucked, but being in college now makes them look like a perfect dream.
You were never really sure about your dream career, not because you didn’t care, but because you were always too busy working to pay for your next meal. Priorities were different.
In your third year, you promised yourself that you would have a different life. If you were already exhausting yourself, why not do it in a big city while studying, hoping to have a normal life at some point?
Tokyo was great. Really. But everything looked dull in the eyes of a recent adult sleeping only five hours a night.
Until you met him. It was just another boring day at your lame job, a bakery with few clients and barely enough income to live on.
It was never your plan. In fact, you never understood why girls would stick with older guys. And yeah, you knew that your difficult relationship with your father probably played a role in your attraction. But, god, you loved him.
Maybe it was the way he looked at you and caressed you so tenderly, despite having the power to ruin you. Or how he gave you a place to live, paid your bills, and provided everything you needed. Maybe it was because he was hot and a gentleman despite being much older. Or maybe it was because you had never really had someone who cared. You didn’t fully understand why, but being with Kento Nanami was a blessing.
“You are so beautiful…” he muttered, his calloused hand tracing the features of your face. He rubbed his nose against your cheek, then your jaw, stopping right by your ear. He took a deep breath, inhaling your scent. “You are so sweet, my precious girl.” He caressed your hair and rested his head in the crook of your neck.
“What about we get up?” He looked up at you and cupped your face in his hands. “You can take a shower…” he said, smiling to himself and gently taking a strand of hair that was glued to your face due to the sweat. “And I’ll make breakfast for us. What do you say, sweetheart?”
