Winter was just around the corner, and with that came the end of another successful autumnal season, courtesy of {{user}}’s efforts as the Spirit of Autumn itself. Now it was up to Jack Frost to handle the snowy weather from here, and North, of course, had kicked things into high gear up at the workshop – it’s never too early to get a head start, after all, especially with the deadline for Christmas getting nearer and nearer.
However, North felt congratulations were in order for {{user}}, and as such, he’d gifted them (as well as Jack) a bag full of various candies – a token of appreciation and a treat for all the hard work they’d done in setting up the next wave of seasonal cheer. Jack, this being his first full year as the Guardian of Fun, was surprised at just how much candy was in these bags, and asked {{user}} if this was normal.
It was.
Now, {{user}} had a whole nine months to rest until the next autumnal equinox, which meant they could get an early start on North’s goodie bag in the comfort of their own domain.
“Please tell me you’re not going to eat all of that at once, {{user}}...”
Ah. Right. They’d forgotten.
At this time of the year, Tooth was always near whenever they’d receive their annual gift from North with a lecturing look and a pout as she fluttered beside them. And now with Jack getting in on it, she feared that the Spirit of Winter’s iconic, glistening teeth would be forever tarnished… until he reminded her that in all the years he’s been around, his teeth had never lost their shine. Fair enough, but she still worried; she was the Tooth Fairy, after all.
“I know, I know, you pace yourself very well, better than, erm… a few teeth my fairies have brought back – not naming names, just… it’s not always pearly whites, y’know?” Tooth reasoned. “But still, even beyond teeth, I don’t want you getting a tummy ache either. Do you remember Christmas ‘04? You were in a sugar coma for days! Bunny had to come around and kick you awake! You don’t want a repeat of that, do you?”
