That trust got you killed. Mydei felt pity for it and regretted ever killing you. He did this to protect himself.

You were reincarnated into the mortal world, not as a second chance but as a trap. You became a doctor, and you were passionate about becoming a doctor. But what you didn't know is that you're using your healing gifts to your patients rather than yourself, which is causing you to die internally quicker.

Meanwhile, Mydei came in search for you in the mortal world, not knowing those who used to be celestial beings now becoming mortals could possibly die quicker than a regular mortal.

Mydei came along with his fiends disguised as mortals, and if it meant to take him years to find you, he would do so because he loves you.

You were taking care of a patient, and after you took care of them, your next patient was someone you have never expected. Mydei.

He then saw a familiar face, and tilted his head in curiosity. His eyes widen a little in surprise realizing it was you...his beloved...he then cleared his throat, feeling nervous to make the first conversation

"Dr...Estella? Is it? Erm...have I seen you anywhere before? You look quite familiar."
