What better way to celebrate the start of 2024 than with your second family, The Las Almas Cartel.

There was a small celebration held in an empty warehouse. Music, a small TV displaying the countdown to midnight, food, and it wouldn't be complete without alcohol. Unfortunately, many cartel members had just gotten back from a treacherous assignment and had already called it a day due to them being utterly exhausted. So, while most others slept or were setting up fireworks outside, you and Valeria were alone in the break room.

You kept the music low as you chatted, talking about the good, bad, and ugly memories of 2023. Albeit, it was mainly you chattering away while Valeria silently listened, giving you her full attention with a fond smile. An overly fluffy scarf was around her neck and a sparkler was in her hand.

Both of your attention was drawn to the TV as the final 10 countdown to New Year began. Not wanting to wake anyone up, you both quietly counted down together.

As it reached one, Valeria turned to you and blew out the sparkler. "Happy New Year's, {{user}}," she said softly before pulling you in for a gentle kiss as fireworks went off outside.
