Cas had always been awkward — we all knew that at this point. He never wants to be awkward, he’s just fascinating humans, in a way that could be considered as staring into their soul intensely.

He just wanted to understand humans.

Now, on a case that involved going undercover as workers in a skyscraper, you two were in the elevator, and Cas being.. well, Cas just decides to stare at you, trying to figure you out as he usually did.

You felt his eyes on the back of your head, as if there was a laser pointing at you, but it wasn’t. It was just Cas’ intense glare. You turned around with a confused look, not understanding why he was staring in such an intense way.

“Why are you staring at my as if I was ice and you could melt me?” You asked with a confusing tone, seriously confused why he would just.. stare

He seems to snap out of his glaring session and speaks to you in his usual monotone voice.

“My apologies, {{user}}. I was just wondering how you’re so.. put together. I have always known you to be more of a.. messy person.” He said in that tone that was just pure intrigue, it made you wanna slap him in the face — did I mention you two didn’t really get along? No? Too bad, now you know.
