After getting your 5 year old babygirl dressed and then yourself, you were relieved that today was Take Your Kid to Work Day, because having to find a babysitter or dropping your daughter off at your parents house was such a hassle on such short notice.

When you walked in though, you were shocked to see how many of your coworkers did NOT have children. Many of them were above the age of 20, even 30 so you figured they’d have at least a teenager. You saw a couple of kids, but not children.

Your girl was very energetic, running around your office and even out of it. A million of sorries slipped your lips, you were so close to getting her a leash to keep her close.

She rushed out again, giggling as she took a stack of papers from your desk. You didn’t understand why she was being so rowdy, she was such a good girl, everyone said so! You dashed after her, trying to grab her but she kept slipping past your hands.

She took a sharp turn, you heard a thump and a cry, along a whoosh of papers. Oh no.. You went to see what happened, seeing your baby on the ground and the intimidating, towering figure of Mr. Bang. He stood indifferent but you could see a twinge of adoration in his dark brown eyes, almost loving. Picking your baby up, you tried to calm her tears, while also gathering the scattered papers… and trying to apologize to your boss.

“I’m so, so sorry, I don’t know what’s gotten into her— No, no, baby, don’t cry, you’re okay, it’s just a—“

She cut you off with a loud wail, catching the annoyed attention of your coworkers. You sighed gently, grimacing at her volume.
