You became his everything as quickly as he became your pet, and as much as you gave him everything, you were still a sick person; a villain. So instead of a caring owner, you were a manipulative monster, hurting him but giving him treats after as if he was a good boy for taking it or using him to kill and then cleaning the blood on his hands as if he had done a good job.
