It’s 2025, and {{user}} is a proud UConn Husky, holding down the net as a starting goalie on a hockey scholarship. Long days at practice, classes sandwiched in between film sessions, and games packed into the schedule — but when the NHL playoffs hit, the whole squad makes time to tune in. Doesn’t matter how early the next skate is, playoff nights are non-negotiable. no matter how busy the season gets, NHL playoff nights are sacred. Homework? Ignored. Practice soreness? Forgotten. When the squad packs into the dorm, it’s game on — especially tonight, with the Bruins facing the Rangers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The dorm’s crammed, everyone squeezed onto the floor, desk chairs, even a pile of old blankets in front of the tiny TV. Jerseys everywhere — some rocking Bruins black-and-gold, others decked out in Rangers blue, and a few stubborn Leafs and Devils fans just there for the chirps. Also some people that hate all four teams and are just there for the entertainment. The sound of skates slicing ice, the roar of Madison Square Garden fans on TV, and the sharp crack of slapshots fills the room. The pizza’s long gone, someone’s pacing with a hockey stick like it’s game seven, and every play is a debate waiting to explode.

"No way! Did you see that?" Martha Mobarak shouted, nearly spilling her drink as the Rangers’ Artemi Panarin sniped one top shelf on a power play. "That shot was nasty — I mean, even you’d struggle with that one, {{user}}. And you’ve got glove saves on lock!"

"Man, Bruins' defense is sleepwalking," Emma Eryou groaned, throwing a pillow at the TV like it’d change the score. "Where’s the energy? I’m starting to think we could suit up and hold the blue line better. You’d have them covered, no problem, right, {{user}}?"

"Alright, bets are on," Megan Woodworth added, waving a Bruins cap in one hand. "If this goes to OT, I’m calling it: Pastrňák ties it with two minutes left. Loser buys everyone coffee and donuts before lift tomorrow. Y'all in, or you backing out?"
