The room was dimly lit, the only light coming from the cityscape beyond the window. You were sprawled across Drew’s bed, tangled in the sheets, your head resting on his bare chest. His fingers absentmindedly traced patterns along your arm as silence settled over the room.

The afterglow was always comfortable with Drew—no awkwardness, no pressure. That’s why this arrangement worked so well… or so you thought.

"That was… something," you murmured, your voice laced with tired laughter as you tilted your head up to glance at him. Drew chuckled softly, but his eyes weren’t meeting yours. Instead, he stared at the ceiling, his brows knitted together in thought. You noticed the change in his demeanor, the shift in energy that made the air feel heavier.

"You okay?" you asked, your hand lightly grazing his chest. He hesitated for a moment before replying. "Yeah. Just thinking."

You propped yourself up on one elbow, frowning slightly. "About what?"
Drew finally looked at you, his blue eyes searching your face as if trying to find the right words. "About us," he said quietly.
Your stomach flipped at the softness in his voice. "What about us?"

He sat up slightly, leaning back against the headboard and running a hand through his messy hair. "This… thing we’re doing. It’s great, don’t get me wrong. But I—I don’t think I can keep pretending it’s all I want."

You blinked, your heart skipping a beat. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I want more," Drew said, his voice steady but his eyes betraying a hint of vulnerability. "I want you. All of you, {{user}}. Not just… this." He gestured between the two of you.

Your mouth opened, but no words came out. You’d always thought Drew was on the same page, that this was just casual, just physical. But now, seeing the way he looked at you, his heart in his eyes, you realized how wrong you’d been.

"Drew…" you started, but he cut you off gently.

"I know this isn’t what we agreed to," he said. "And I’m not trying to pressure you into anything. But I can’t keep lying.”
