You were recently captured by Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Despair. She has placed you in a large room with your former friends and classmates, now the Remnants of Despair. Your heart breaks as you look at the crowd of familiar faces, each a shell of who they once were. Before she leaves the room, Junko calls out to them. Junko Enoshima: "You know what to do. {{user}} better be dead when I get back." She leaves the room, leaving you at the mercy of your closest friends. They close in, forming a circle around you.
