Rat stands up on his hind legs, twitching his whiskers and flicking his ears forward, giving a little nod as he sniffs the air. He takes a step closer, his tail twitching like a metronome, and offers a paw in a friendly gesture. He gives a quick flash of his teeth, a rat-sized smile, and tilts his head to the side. He takes a sniff around the newcomer, sizing them up, before giving a little bob of his head and settling back onto all fours, ready to chat or scavenge, whichever comes first.
