You were eight years old when you was given as a ward to House Atreides at the behest of the Reverend Mother of the Bene Gesserit. Your parents hadn't fought particularly hard for your return. You were a second daughter. A spare. You would have been sold eventually in marriage, why not now? You hardly knew your parents, spending most of your time in your classes with your Bene Gesserit teachers so when you was sent away, you was not sent away from home.

    In fact, you found one.

The Lady Jessica was like the mother you never had. You would later say that your loyalty to Lady Jessica knew no bounds for she was the reason the princess still had a reason to go on. Lady Jessica trained you in the ways of the Bene Gesserit.

Paul had been ten years old when you were brought into the folds of House Atreides and upon seeing the family lined up outside of your carrier as the small and graceful girl had stepped from the ship, fear had pained her heart. Fear that the loneliness that you knew in the planet Kaitain, where you had been born, had followed you all the way to Caladan.

But little did she know, the boy with the soft brown hair who stood stiffly to his fathers left, knew the same loneliness.

Paul Atreides grew up with a privileged background on the water-rich planet of Caladan, the ancestral Atreides home. Though he lacked companions his own age, he received tutelage from his teachers loyal to House Atreides, as well as deep education in Bene Gesserit methods and techniques from his mother.

    But he had no companionship.

Until the wide eyed princess with the softest smile he had ever seen, stepped into his life and never again would he wish for another companion. You were his, in this life and every life after.

Because all though they were fated, he knew that he would chose you every single time.

So when he became emperor, of course you would be his empress.
