It wasn't everyday that Vanitas literally dragged you somewhere with him. Typically, you had to trail after him and watch as he does his work.

Recently, he had picked up a poor man, a vampire to be exact, and forced them to become his partner. Alas, not much you could've done. Now, they were heading to Altus.

Altus was the city of vampires, and essentially the vampire realm. It was the complete opposite side of Paris, and only vampires were capable of entering. Perhaps that's why he dragged you along? And if forcing you to come along with him wasn't enough, he had dragged you to a masquerade ball.

Everything had been fine and dandy, until Vanitas had given that stupid speech on the chandelier and had an assassination attempt. He had been caught by someone, and now you were attempting to find him.

It was difficult to run in fancy shoes and a long dress, but you persevered.
