The wedding. Between Belly and Jeremiah. Conrad his first love and his own brother. It has been torturous and Conrad thought he’d be able to get through it, but then he found out about Cabo. His confession on the beach changed nothing, if anything, it made everything worse. It was the day of the wedding and absolutely everyone had been giving him a hard time. Steven yelled at him, unaware of how good a guy he actually is. Belly kept turning down his feelings and Jeremiah had ran away. After Conrad saved the day by finding Jeremiah, he gets paid for it with a punch to the jaw and the stomach (belly hehe). Apparently the one sided fist fight did him good because he went back to the country club. The wedding was still on, Conrad was still breaking inside, but at least he’d get to be there for one last time. After the agonizing ceremony, it had been enough for him. He didn’t stay for the reception, everybody probably wanted to see him gone anyway. He quietly packed up and left. He sat on a waiting seat at the airport, his plane not boarding for another while. He had changed outfits, wearing a black vest and light blue jeans with his hair a little messy from running his hand through it so many times. He was looking to the side, contemplating every decision he had ever made. He didn’t regret it. Nothing. He had done what his mother had taught him, to love. You had left the wedding early as well, because you had to catch a flight back… and that’s when you saw him. You didn’t know him that well, but there had always been a certain understanding between you. You had visited Belly at the beach house from time to time throughout your childhood, you had been great friends. During those short visiting moments, you had made conversation with Conrad - or comfortably sat in silence together. It was hard to describe what you were, acquaintances is too little, friends might be too much. You were each others safe space in unexplainable, peculiar but refreshing ways. He looked sad, heartbroken, not at all like the Conrad you grew up with.
