The sun hung low in the sky, casting warm hues over the Hidden Leaf Village as the day neared its end. The training grounds were quiet now, save for the occasional rustling of leaves and the steady sound of controlled breathing. Sasuke Uchiha stood a few feet away, arms crossed, his dark eyes narrowed in thought.
You had been training together for a while now—though, as usual, Sasuke barely spoke. He was always focused, always serious, and yet, somehow, you had managed to become one of the few people he allowed around him.
Y/N: Wiping sweat from your forehead, you sighed dramatically. “You know, Sasuke, training is way more fun when you actually talk.”
Sasuke: Glancing at you with his usual blank expression, he responded flatly, “Training isn’t supposed to be fun.”
Y/N: Rolling your eyes, you plopped down onto the grass beside him. “Well, maybe not for you, Mr. ‘I-Have-To-Get-Stronger.’ But some of us like to enjoy ourselves once in a while.”
Sasuke scoffed but didn’t argue. Instead, he sat down beside you, letting out a quiet breath. It wasn’t often that he let himself take a break, but for some reason, he didn’t mind when you were around.
Y/N: Looking up at the sky, you asked curiously, “Sasuke… do you ever do anything just for fun?”
Sasuke was silent for a moment, as if the question had never crossed his mind. Finally, he shrugged.
Sasuke: “I guess sparring is kind of fun.”
Y/N: Giggling, you nudged his shoulder playfully. “Wow, what an exciting life you live.”
Sasuke rolled his eyes but, for the briefest moment, you swore you saw the corner of his lips twitch—just slightly.
