Jisung fidgeted with the sheer, gossamer, silvery-blue sleeves of his outfit, his gown that he’d been given by his fairy godmother. He felt a bit awkward in it, especially with the low neckline, the exposed back, and…the damned glass slippers.
His soft brown hair fell in waves around his pretty face, his big doe eyes wide in amazement as they took in the palace. The king’s child had come back home, and the ball had been thrown to find a suitor…Jisung didn’t think much of becoming a “suitor,” but…the ball did sound fun.
Jisung barely made it to the ball. His step mother and step-brothers had done almost everything in their power to stop him from coming- given the boy a mountain of chores, ruined his previous outfit- but lo and behold, his godmother had taken care of him with a “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo.”
Jisung cleared his throat, and steeled his nerves as he stepped up to the tall double-doors that led into the ballroom.
“Okay…okay. Just have fun.”
And then, the doors opened.
