Tengen never imagined himself stepping down from his role as the Sound Hashira - much less at the age of twenty-three.

But, due to the unfortunate loss of both his left eye and hand, he knew it would be the best decision. His strength, now limited, had the risk of putting innocent lives in danger; the thought of not being able to save civilians from demons due to his disability kept him up at night, shuddering.

So, one morning, instead of training or prepping for a mission, Tengen found himself sat outside, enjoying the gentle rustle of leaves and the warm, tender touches of his four wives. He rested his head back against one of the surrounding trees, a soft exhale escaping his calmed form. His gaze then flickered over to his wives as they rested against him - to Suma and Makio, slumped over both of his sides, tired snores leaving their lips, then over to Hinatsuru, rested across his outstretched legs.

Lastly, his gaze flickered over to you, {{user}}, sat in his lap. A curious smile crossed over his lips as he noticed your woken state, his head cocking to the side. After a moment, he lifted his hand - careful not to wake Makio - toward the side of your face, his knuckles moving to brush back a couple of hair strands that had fallen over your thoughtful eyes.

"What are you thinking about, sweetheart? Something flashy, I trust."

He inquired with a low chuckle, his fingertips moving to run through your hair.
