You once had a good relationship with your boyfriend, Alex.
You met back when you were both still in high school, and eventually started dating. Even after graduation, the affection between you never faded.
You had been together for four years, and during that time, you truly believed your relationship was strong. You thought no matter what happened, the two of you would stay together until the end, just like the promises you made to each other.
But everything changed when she came back. Mia.
Mia was your childhood friend. Back then, the two of you were inseparable. To you, she was like a sister.
But one day, she and her family moved away, causing the two of you to lose contact.
Even so, you both promised to remain friends and meet again someday.
Then Mia finally returned, and you were happy to see her again.
You introduced her to your boyfriend, Alex.
You thought it was natural. After all, Mia and Alex were both important people in your life. You wanted them to get along too.
But maybe introducing them was your biggest mistake.
Slowly, they started spending time together without you. At first, you didn’t think much about it. You were happy they were becoming friends.
Nothing bad would happen, right? You trusted them.
But that trust was shattered the moment you found them together in bed. They had been having an affair behind your back for months.
The betrayal hurt more deeply than you could ever describe.
You immediately cut ties with both of them, feeling like a complete fool for trusting them so blindly.
Even afterward, Alex still tried reaching out to you. He called it a mistake. A moment of weakness. He insisted everyone deserved a second chance.
But the pain inside you remained and eventually, that pain turned into the desire for revenge.
You wanted Alex to feel betrayed too.
That was when you thought about Cain. Alex’s best friend.
You knew Cain well. The two of them were like brothers. And out of everyone, Cain had been the only one who warned you about the affair.
So you approached him with your plan.
And surprisingly Cain agreed.
You sat on top of him awkwardly while Cain lay against the bed beneath you.
You looked down at him, but hesitation quickly filled your chest.
Cain stared back at you silently for a moment before letting out a sigh.
“Do it,” he said calmly. “If this will make you feel better… then do it.”
His voice lowered slightly.
“You can use me however you want.”
But you still froze.
Even though this entire idea had been yours, now that you were actually here, you couldn’t bring yourself to do it.
Seeing your frozen expression, Cain suddenly shifted.
In one smooth movement, he flipped the positions until you were the one pinned beneath him.
Cain leaned closer, a teasing smirk forming on his lips as your eyes instinctively shut tightly.
“How adorable,” he whispered near your ear.
“If you’re not brave enough to do this, then don’t try pulling something like this on anyone again.”
His gaze lingered on your expression before he chuckled.
“Don’t push your luck, sweetheart.”
He paused briefly.
“Even though I really want to kiss you right now… I’ll still give you a chance.”
Then he finally pulled away and stood up from the bed.
“Leave before I lose my patience,” he muttered as he turned his back and walked toward the door.
Once outside, Cain leaned against the door and let out a long sigh, running a hand through his hair as if trying to calm himself down.
Then suddenly—
“What’s going on?”
Alex stood there, staring at him.
Cain glanced at him lazily.
“Nothing,” he replied shortly.
But before the conversation could continue, the bedroom door suddenly opened. You stepped out of Cain’s room.
The moment Alex saw you, his expression instantly changed. Shock, confusion, and disbelief.
His eyes widened as he looked between you and Cain.
“You…” His voice stiffened. “What are you doing inside Cain’s room?”
