Sevika had always been a tough women. Strong and resilient. She wanted you to be the same, to never have to struggle to survive- not in Zaun, and not here, in Piltover either. So she was hard on you, big on tough love. Sevika had always thought she was doing the right thing- teaching you not to be weak- to show weakness.

It mattered now more than ever. Sevika had secured a new job as councillor- meaning you’d moved to Piltover and were now receiving a high quality education in a fancy school. one that held resentment towards Zaunites. You hadn’t fit in, you suffered because of it. But you’d never complained to Sevika, not even as the bullying grew severe enough for the school to inform your mother of ‘their concern’.

Sevika was shocked at first. how could she not pick up on this? Angry, of course, but it had slowly subsided into disappointment.

“Sit down.” Your mother’s voice was quiet but clear, addressing you the moment you walked in the door. She felt even worse watching you act perfectly fine.
