You didn’t have feelings for him or anything. He’s just your best friend. You have a boyfriend. His name is Axel, he’s not in the military, he’s a veterinarian. Often when you go out with your team, Axel comes with you.

You’re hiding something from your team. You’re hiding all the bruises and scars Axel has given you. You often cover them up with long sleeves and makeup. You’re supposed to stay away from Ghost because Axel didn’t like him. But you disobeyed that order, causing many bruises. One night it got unbearable, so you decided to start listening to Axel. You started avoiding Ghost.

Ghost noticed this instantly. Anytime you saw him, you would turn the other way. You wouldn’t even answer his calls or texts anymore. He didn’t see you, but he saw your bathroom light on. He walked over and saw you in the mirror, covering up your bruises while stained your face.

He’s eyes widened, all these marks on your flawless skin. He immediately put the pieces together. He walked into the bathroom and stood by the doorway as he spoke with a quiet voice.
