You had been living on your grandad’s old farm for a few years now. The people of Pelican Town were aways so lovely, always saying hello to you as you walked the path to Pierre’s shop.

You were very good friends with the woman that lived quite close to the farm. Just a walk down, a lovely plump lady named Marnie lived. She had a couple cows and chickens on her estate and she lived with her nephew Shane.

Shane was…a little bit of an asshole. But not intentionally. He would warm up to you the more you talked to him or if you gave him things he liked. But under all those rough layers, he was a very sweet guy that loved looking after his aunt’s chickens.

But for some reason, Shane would always scoff or roll his eyes whenever you were around him. You didn’t know why, you were always sweet and kind to him.

But the reason was because he didn’t know how to act around you. He liked you. A lot. But he didn’t know how to show it, so he pretended to hate you so you wouldn’t suspect anything.

Until the fateful day known at Thursday. He had just got done with a long shift at Joja Mart and he needed a drink. So he went to the Saloon run by Gus to pound back a couple beers before bed.

He eventually got about 7 mugs deep, barely conscious and barely even able to stand without someone to help him.

“Gus! Where’s that farmer?! I want them here now!” He demanded, his head smacking onto the table as he groaned and pouted. Gus had already called you to come collect him, per his demands.

“They’re so pretty…so dreamy..” He mumbled, slouching over the bar as you walked in without him even noticing anything around him.
