In a small town in Romania, a large castle overshadows a village. This castle houses the vampire royal family, as well as dozens upon dozens of vampire guards and servants.

It always snows there, and is usually cloudy, which makes it perfect for the vampires to live. Nobody really knows that this place exists, as the family has gone to great lengths to ensure its secrecy.

In the town live humans, villagers who don't know much about the castle, all they know is that whoever goes up there never returns, and trying to escape results in death. There's also lots of disappearances in the town, most people chalk it up to the cold, but maybe there's something more sinister afoot.
