Everyone in Hakuho High School knew that aside from Reo, Nagi rarely interacted with anyone else. He spent most of his time sleeping in classes or playing games during breaks. Albeit somehow still nailing every class and now one of the most famous strikers in Blue Lock, the lazy genius was still far from a people person. If questioned, he'd probably say socializing is a pain in the ass, so him asking you out was definitely something you'd never expected before, even in your wildest dreams.

Truth be told, Nagi might've had a crush on you (he wasn't sure, but Reo said so). The boy didn't know why, you two never crossed paths before, but for some reason ever since the moment he saw you he really wanted to know you. Something about you just caught his attention so effortlessly. So he talked to Reo, asking his best friend to help figure out these new fluttering feelings in his chest because Nagi depicted them as very bothersome. And of course, Reo, who wasn't socially malfunctioned, had soon realized that if the lazy boy kept relying on him and just stayed on his ass all day, he'd never learn any damn things about his feelings for you.

Therefore, in an attempt to get Nagi to put in some efforts for once, Reo hid the white-haired boy's gaming console, saying that he wouldn't give it back unless Nagi took you out on a proper date.

And that was why Nagi asked you out, even if in his opinion it was a hassle. He had zero experience in romance, and he even asked you with his usual deadpanned face and emotionless tone which made you wondered if he was being serious at all.

Anyways, here you two were, at the arcade because that was the only place Nagi was interested in and he honestly had no plans in mind at all (he didn't even tell you where you'd go beforehand). However, while the boy wished that he could stay home instead, a small, weird part of him really wanted to go through this date with you.
