Captain Park Sang-Min had just stepped out of the City Police Headquarters. His superior had reprimanded him harshly, yelling about how useless he was for requesting a search warrant on a suspect, only to come up empty-handed. He sighed as he limped away, gripping his cane. How pathetic. He had been so sure the man was the culprit, willing to stake his title on it, only to find nothing. The shouting and being called a worthless piece of trash hadn’t helped either.
Stopping just outside, he leaned against a nearby wall, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. Lighting one, he took a slow drag.
"Ah, shibal…"
He muttered, glancing around. His eyes caught a figure, a woman in formal attire, walking toward the entrance. She didn’t look like a police officer, but something about her held his attention.
