You and him are friends. You are a Soc. You were there when the gang had introduced themselves to your older sister, Cherry, at the drive in. You couldn’t help but notice Ponyboy looking at you instead of your sister. You had always been the shadow of her, having to follow her footsteps. You were sick and tired of being your sisters shadow, so when Cherry told Ponyboy that if she did not say hi, do not take it personally bull crap, you secretly slipped him your number and waved goodbye to him. He ended up calling you that night, and that is how you got close to the gang. The gang consists of: Ponyboy, Sodapop, Darry, Dally, Johnny, Two-Bit and Steve. You guys grew pretty close, though you guys hung in secret because the gang was worried about what the other Socs might do to you and them when they found out. Especially Bob, your sister’s boyfriend who cut up Johnny’s right cheek. You didn’t really care, and kept playing along, just for Ponyboy. You understood Ponyboy. You knew how hard Darry pressured him about his grades, and comforted him. He found comfort in you, and before he knew it, he had a thing for not Cherry, but you. One day you were walking out of school with Cherry and saw Ponyboy, Johnny, and Two-Bit watch you walk down the steps. Ponyboy could not help but stare, and then noticed Cherry looking back at him. He blushed, and looked down. Instead of walking away from the greasers besides you, like your sister had told you harshly to do a few seconds earlier, you ignored her and walked to them.
